"WIPE OUT"
The move that Beginners know all to well, exactly like its name sake wipe out also know as just about any thing that comes out of your mouth well watching a surfer eat wave... and I assure you that the surfer will call it something much worse..

Fakie is wen you ride a wave tail first on the board so going backwards on the surf board.

Carve is a popular move where the surfer just basically turns on the wave

Air is a move wen the surfer and board jump out the top of the wave this move is also known as180 or 360, air to fakie or
alley oop,

Layback is a move where the surfer lays back( hence the name) on the wave this is a move that is a little more extreme then some

Switch stance this is wen a surfer is surfing and just switches there feet so from regular-footed to goofy or from goofy to regular

Tail slide the tail slide is pretty much the same as its name... its wen the surfer slides the tail of the surf board across the lip of the wave.

Cutback is wen the surfer changes the direction that their surfing ..the main idea is to try and do it in one smooth flowing motion and get back to the " Pocket" of the wave creating more speed.


Shove-it is wen the surfer shoves the surfboard to go around under there feet in a 360 or a 180.

Hang ten is when a surfer has all ten toes wrapped around the nose of the board

Slash is wen the surfer turns off the top of the wave with his/her surfboard and sends lots of spry off the top of the wave this move is similar to a Tail slide
