Points

A TRY is worth 5 points
Penalty TRY is worth 5 points
Penalty is worth 3 points
Drop goal is worth 3 points
Conversion is worth 2 points

Ok the point of this game is to like any other game win points for your team. In the game of rugby there are 15 players on the field from each team unless you are playing a game of sevens then (you guessed it) there are only seven players on the field from each team.. Each player has a place on the field according to his/her number

In rugby every one on your team gets to handle the ball and you all work as a team so you all get to share the glory when your team gets a “TRY”.
The way you win a point is buy scoring a TRY on the offending team. You get a TRY by placing the ball on the goal line or“try line”with pressure on the ball. You don't win a TRY by running over the try line and doing a little dance and then spiking the ball into the ground like you do in football. You must have your body or hand on the ball with full control of it when you place it in point line. If you lose the ball when you try to get a TRY the offending team can jump on the ball before you regain control of it and therefore you lose your TRY so make sure that you have control of the ball.

Numbers and Player Positions

FORWARDS:

Hooker#2
The hooker in the person that throws the ball in a line out and has to try and keep the throw straight..
The hooker is also the man/girl in middle of the front row in the scrum there job is to hook ball back to there team using only there feet in a scum winning the ball over to there team for play.

Tighthead Prop#3 & Loosehead Prop #1

The Props job in the game is to keep the scrum from collapsing and to“PUSH”
the props must keep going forward and be aggressive when the ball is in hand.

Second row Locks #4 #5

The second row are behind the Props there job is to push flowered and lock so that the other team doesn't push the scrum and win ground on them. This is not the second rows only job on the field well the game is in play they must be fast and effective with the ball.

CENTERS:

I have one thing to say about the centers “TACKLE, TACKLE, TACKLE”

Flyhalfe #12

must be a fast runner,
good decision maker
able to read plays good kicker
and must be able to communicate with their team.

Scrumhalfe #9

must be fearless
and well do just about anything on the field
the scrum half is usually the best player on the field
they must have control of there team with good communication skills

Eightman #8

The Eightman is the guy/girl on the back of the scrum
their job back there is to keep the scrum straight and to push it forwards to win ground on the offending team.
The Eightman must be mentally and physically strong player and fast tackler.

Blind side flanker #6 & Openside Flanker

The Flanks.... these are the tacklers on the field where ever the flanks are, there is sure to be a tackle being made these warriors must be fast strong fearless and fully aware of there team and the offending team they always know were the ball is and want to be the ones to make the TRY.

BACKS:

Fullback #15

The Fullback is the player at the end of the field they have got to be fast so wen they make a kick from behind there team they can run down the ball and put there team back on side and them back in the game. The Fullbacks also need to be good at tackling because if the offending team gets passed the rest of there team and is going in for a TRY. The Fullback might be the only one that can stop the offending team from getting that TRY

Wingmen #11 & #14

The Wingmen can play both left and right on the field
they have to be ridiculously fast and in shape these players must know plays and make plays happen these players are usually the fastest players on the team and can run, throw or run around the other team in order to get their TRY.

Outside Center # 13

The Outside centers must have fast hands and accurate passing skills
they must see the game in play and shut down the other teams play.
The Outside centers have to keep a good defense and be a confidant tackler

Inside Center #12

The Inside Center is the leader of the defense patterns and must know the game and see the game.
T he Inside Center must know the players and be a strong leader in an attack and never hesitate on taking that BALL
