When we talk about the olympic scandal, we refer to the winter olympics of 1998. In the figure skating competition, Russian and French judges work together to give the Russian and French figure skaters winning marks, ruining Canada's chance at winning a medal. The scandal was investigated and Canada received a gold medal along with the Russians, who were allowed to keep there medals. The judges were then suspended from the olympics.
That is just one of the many scandals, and politics that happen in the olympics. Another example would be taking performance enhancing drugs. This may increase the athletes ability to perform but it is illegal and the athlete may be caught in a drug test.
Below are some examples of decisions that athletes, coaches and judges may have to face in a olympic competition.
Athlete
You are a figure skater in competition. You are expected to place around sixth or eighth place. You have two choices;

Coach
You are a coach to a sprinter in the 100 m dash. Two years before the olympics you are faced with some choices.
You can train your athlete hard and honestly for two years to prepare him for the next summer olympics, (click here for results)
or You can convince your athlete to go on speed (a sports enhancing drug) to improve his speed, endurance, and overall ability to compete. (click here for results)
Judge
You are a judge for a synchronized swimming competition. You have been offered an anomynous bribe of one million dollars to give the athletes from your country winning points. You have two choices.
