Kendo. Way of the Sword. It is the martial art which the Samurai,what many think to be the most sophisticated warriors in the world, studied extensively, and through which they developed Bushido, their warrior code, which they upheld with every ounce of strength and honor they had. Though this breed of warrior has long faded from existence, the values they strove to uphold, honor, justice, courage, courtesy, are still maintained in modern Kendo organizations the world over. This website will show you the history of Kendo, as well as the equipment used, and some of the techniques, as well as the basic ideology and philosophy of this intriguing martial art.
