A note about safety

Now is the time to think about how to build the rocket. First we need the materials:

2 liter soda bottle- (does not have to be a coke bottle but MUST be form a carbonated drink)

That is about it. Below are some links that might come in handy in building and testing your design. The best thing you could do is read the Water Rocket Book it will give you a great overview and explanation of all the science of water rockets. Also  follow this link on HOW DOES IT WORK? you can get a lot of good ideas.

The most important thing to remember is keep moving forward. Build your rocket and watch it fly. Make some changes and try again. Its fun.
