GVC 04-21 presents:

Communication, our Bridge to the World

Once a human being has arrived on this earth, communication is the largest single factor determining what kinds of relationships he makes with others and what happens to him in the world about him.

Communication is what allows us to develop relationships, transmit ideas and feelings, build communities and cooperate in building the world around us. Ever since man has appeared in this world, he has been devising new ways to enhance communication, developing language, pictographs, smoke signals, writing on stone, parchment and paper. He has invented mass printing, radio and optical signals, which cross millions of miles in fractions of a second. He has observed and researched the communication of the animals which surround him. He has learned to communicate by gestures, expressions and sign language. He broadcasts and receives news, entertainment, and scientific knowledge as well as signals which allow him to defend himself from his enemies.

The GVC04-21 team, Mexico, Israel, and Hong Kong, carried out the making of this web page with the topic of Communication because of the vital role it plays in the world we now live in. Many consider communication to be something insignificant, but we have taken our time and dedication to investigate this broad topic and present our findings to the youth of the world. The complete project will be presented in a form of communication: a television, and parts of the topic will be presented as television shows. It is amazing to see how nowadays we can communicate through signs, verbally, with the use of codes, and wireless communication; it is now possible to “be” in any part of the world while transferring all type of data. There truly is no limit to where the power of communication can reach.

Communication has become a part of everyday life. We read the paper, watch the news, browse through the internet, and talk with our friends or relatives, in other words, become informed. We use communication as a tool of education, for our own good and for the good of those around us. In the present world, the lack of communication would mean a lack of multiple advantages. Most of the things we do nowadays, in work, in school, even at home, use some sort of communication. For these and other reasons that you shall notice throughout the web site, we decided to choose this topic as a base for our GVC project, while thoroughly taking advantage of it at the same time. We invite you to become more informed of this, and see how we use communication to progress into the future.
