Lapta is traditional sport in our country. This is very old game. This game appeared in 14 century. Rule of this game similar rule of baseball. And now people play in lapta seldom, because teens passion other sports.
Teens like to play football, bascetball and volleyball.
Girls in our country like sports such as sport dancing, gymnastics, figure skating, ball dancing.
Recently teens have begun to play bouling and billiards. This is very popular passion among people in our country.

All these sports have their strong supporters. In our country much attention is paid to organised sports and this shouldn't overshadow the many sporting activities which are a part of daily Russian life. Most Russians who grow up in the North, grow with outdoor winter sports and activities. Skating is a wide-spread activity. There are many skating rinks in the cities.
Fishing is extremely popular in all parts of Russia. All water sports and activities are very popular, including swiming, diving, sailing, water skiing, canoeing.

Sport in our lyceum

Much attention at lyceum is paid to different sport activities. Students actively participate at all the events held by university and school. In autumn we have a cross. It's a running contest between the groups, but also an individual one. They judge according to the results of all group members who have run, but individual students with the best results are also awarded places.
In winter we have a Day of Skier. Students ski in order to get better results for their groups. At university sports building we have table tennis, basketball, football, swimming contests.
In winter we like snowboarding and mountain skiing in the Altai mountains that are not very far from Novosibirsk.
