Sports are very popular in the United States. Professional atheletes can be found in basketball, football, baseball, soccer, ice skating and car racing. Students often play on sports teams for their schools and in leagues sponsored by the community in which they live. MUSIC

We have all sorts of music in the United States. Some categories ard pop, rock, classical, and country Everyone has a different type they like. . We have portable cd players, stereos that hold lots of disks, I pods, mp3 players, and satellite radio so it is easy to listen to your favorite tunes no matter where you are. Many of the studnents in our school like to listen to "heavy metal" bands such as Slipknot, KORN, CKY, Green Day, Black Sabbath and Metallica. Some of the Rap music performers that students like to listen to are: G-Unit, 2 Pac, Dr. Dre, Eazy E, Snoop Dog, Yink Yang Twin, Lil Jon the Eastboyz, and Chingy.

Games
Many students like to play video games for fun and we have plenty of them. Some of the systems students use are;: PS2, XBOX, DS, SP, and E.C.T. Many of the sudents like to play awesome games like Halo2, NASCAR, NFL, NHL, NBA, and Mario Cart,. ore!
Movies

Movies are things that families go to when they want to have the whole family with them. The movie industry started in the early 1900's. Probably the most famous awards ceremony, the Oscar's is dedicated to the film industry. "Million Dollar Baby" won the Oscar for best movie this year.
Newspapers

Newspapers are to keep us informed on what is happening in the US and the World.
Television
Almost all American homes have a television if not more than one. Most families use cable companies or satellite dish companies to access an uncountable amount of channels. The channels include news channels, travel channels, movie channels, comedy channels and sports channels. We can access television 24 hours a day but probably shouldn't.
