Website Topic: Our Communities

Dhaka, Bangladesh & Lewiston, Maine

Students will learn about each others communities by studying the Biomes of each other’s community.
Each student group will:

1. Record weather and temperature over the next three months
2. Chart the weather and temperature to describe climate
3. Examine and identify plants of the region
4. Create a food chain using the animals of the region,
5. Draw a map of each others region showing physical patterns such as landform, precipitation, climate ,
6. Learn about the social, political, historical, economics of each others
local community
7. Students will reflect upon materials learned to list similarities, differences, and economic connection between both countries.

Challenges: School Schedules will be the greatest change. Since The International School meets after school items will be turned/ posted in once a month. Both school are using English as the basic language.

Teacher Planing: Teachers will conference every week to report at what stage their students are at during that week. Weekly communication will occur before Thursday so that Weekly Reports can be logged every Friday.
