Snowville
Hello Maine students! My name is Tushar and I am going to give you a description of a mysterious island called Snowville.
Snowville is a super advanced island close to Greenland. The weather there is very cold but since it is such an advanced place the people there are doing ok. In Snowville it snows very often and generally snows about 20-25 feet per month. The average temperatures on this island range from 0 degrees Celsius to 16 degrees Celsius. Often there are blizzards and avalanches and sometimes there are tsunamis. This area is so advanced that it has devised a way to take all the minerals and seafood from the tsunamis and make sure there is no damage.
This unique island has many holidays. One of them is Free Day. On this day you can do any thing you want and everything at stores is free. Another holiday is Snowy Independence, which is celebrated with waterworks and snoworks. The last holiday I will explain is Snowy Celebration. On this day you make igloos and play outdoor games and crafts all day.
These people originally came from America and are also from the Ice Age. The language they speak is English although through all these years most of the people also know penguin and polar languages.
Here in Snowville there are many different attractions. One of them is The Snow Sizzling theme park. Over there, there are many high tech roller coasters and other car driving rides. Another Attraction is the Polar Durance Canyon and the Grand Penguin Canyon. These were made by polar bears and penguins pushing against the rock to find shelter during the Ice Age.
School in Snowville is very interesting. In music they learn snow songs. In art they learn how to make igloos and snowmen. In P.E. they play a variety of snow games and sports. In regular class they do many fun subjects like mathice, snowscience, snowcial studies, and reading.
The natural resources in Snowville are timber, metal, seafood, oil, wildlife, and other plastics.
