In
our Utopian world we need a Utopian form of government. This is my proposal for
a perfect government after my extensive work in grade 5's government unit.
We
should have certain inalienable rights and freedoms. Freedom is important so
we can go where we want, to live where we want, have freedom of speech and of
religion, and a choice of the languages we speak. We will need a Charter of
Rights and Freedoms, similar to those found in Canada, Japan
and the United States.
We don’t want a dictator and we don’t want to have a communist society, because we want to live freely. We don’t need a dictator to tell us what to do, like in some countries, like Cuba or what Iraq used to have. We still need a good solid set of laws to keep us safe.
Check out what our Japanese partners have to say about their government system.
We
have created some stories to use in your reading classes. Feel free to print
them and any pictures on our site to use in your classroom.
