We can stop the Greenhouse effects by not polluting as much as we do! The acid floats up where the Ozone is and it eats parts of it away, so that the sun's rays can get by and burn us especially between eleven o'clock and four o'clock PM. That is when it is the hottest because the sun it right over us.

When big factories pollute, their exhaust gases, go up in the air, condensation takes place and the particles come back down as acid rain. They also eat away at the Ozone. There are gaping holes in our ozone over every continent.

Gases in our atmosphere, including water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide, act like a greenhouse to keep the sun's heat in and help make our planet livable. Without this natural insulation, the Earth's surface would be much colder than it is now. The average temperature on Earth would be -18 Celsius. This is too cold to support the diversity of life that now exists.

Every day new and stronger evidence comes to light, proving that most of the warming observed over the last 50 years is attributable to human activities.

We can now see the problems from this; the bird migration patterns change, increase ocean levels, smog levels increasing in the cities and now in towns, and more. This cannot keep changing. Where will it end? Will it take a disaster like portrayed in the movies? I hope not. We like our Earth the way it was. How do we get it back to that state? One very important way is to educate the kids. If they realize how dangerously close we are to some major disaster we are, then they will come up with the solutions. Lay it on the factories that pollute. Hit them with closures not just fines. Hit them in the pocket book so hard that it forces them to stop polluting and start cleaning up.

We like the new Clean Air check that all Ontario cars have to go through in order to get a new year's licence permit. This forces all those polluters to either get off the road or get fixed. Enough is enough.
