I Am a Walrus

by Marquita

The walrus and I share similar characteristics. Like a walrus I am methodical, caring and loyal towards my family, friends, and daily routines.

I like planning to do something. I like to keep myself busy. I study a lot at home. I am learning to study the bible. My mother and I attend church every Sunday. My stepfather attends church meetings and teaches classes at church in the evenings during the week. I attend bible classes on Friday nights with other teenagers. I try reading the bible regularly so I will understand God’s word best at home. My parents help me study the bible well. I also work hard on my homework every night to complete assignments. I like being methodical. The walrus likes to move around. They don’t talk much but their actions show more of their personalities.

I care about my family because I like to help them. I am teaching and helping my family learn how to use ASL. My parents care about their children. My mother and stepfather are teaching me how to cook, clean, do laundry, wash dishes, and other chores around the house.

Family relationships at home are important. I am learning how to trust people and maintain positive attitude. We need to help and trust each other. This means being loyal. I need to pay attention to other people and ask if they need help. Walruses are loving mammals.Walruses like to be comforted and being around others at home. They are dependable animals.

Like the walrus,I believe in being methodical with my life, caring and being loyal towards my family and friends. That’s how I enjoy life.
